GREENVILLE, SC – The American Advertising Federation of Greenville recognized Engenius for the company’s work with NEXT, an entrepreneur-focused group of the Greenville Chamber.

Engenius received a 2016 Silver ADDY Award in the category of Public Service Online/Interactive for the company’s work on the NEXT website.

The American Advertising Awards is the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition. Conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation (AAF), the local Ad Club phase is the first of a three-tier, national competition. Along with other local winners, Engenius will now move forward to compete in the second tier for a District ADDY award in one of 15 district competitions. If chosen, Engenius would then be eligible to compete on the national level.

“Many people think these awards are reserved for large, full-service advertising agencies that develop print ads, billboards, commercials and radio spots,” said Rachel Testa, marketing director of Engenius. “We are pleased to receive such a prestigious award in the first year we have entered this competition, and we feel that it is a huge step for Engenius as we continue to move forward.”

The AAF Awards Gala took place Saturday, February 20 at Zen in Downtown Greenville.

GREENVILLE, S.C. –  One of the region’s most popular theater groups and a non-profit dedicated to supporting community growth have new websites for free thanks to Engenius.

This Greenville-based web marketing and design firm runs an annual program known as the Engenius Grants, where two local non-profit organizations receive a fully developed website, an annual marketing consultation, access to workshops and seminars, and ongoing hosting and maintenance. The value of these grants is more than $12,000.

Organizations located and serving within Oconee, Pickens, Anderson, Greenwood, Laurens, Spartanburg, and Greenville counties are eligible to apply.  Each entry is judged on community impact as well as need for marketing assistance.

The 2014 winners are The Warehouse Theatre (www.warehousetheatre.com) and Soteria Community Development Corporation (www.soteriacdc.org).

The Warehouse Theatre is a professional theatre dedicated to theatre as a serious art form; to high-quality, diverse and challenging productions; to the training of theatre professionals; to community outreach; and to student education.

Soteria empowers low-income families with resources and training to help them reach a level of self-sufficiency, as well as working with local government, churches, local leaders and more to bring about long-term positive change in the community.

“We have seen this program grow each year,” said Chris Manley, the managing partner at Engenius. “One of our goals is to help the community become stronger, and we believe the Engenius Grants does that by helping non-profits relay their message better.”

The Engenius Grants began in 2010 and awards annual grants of in-kind web design and marketing services to Upstate South Carolina non-profit organizations, Manley said. It is part of a Engenius’ larger mission to  balance business with serving the community through unique partnerships.
