Free Website Tools
Deadlink Checker or drlinkcheck crawls through your website, following all internal links to find which links return 404 errors, i.e. links that send you to a non-existent.
GT Metrix analyzes and scores your website speed for desktop and mobile. The average mobile page takes 15 seconds to load, and you can lose 70% of your website visitors in that time, so having solid site speed is crucial.
Google PageSpeed Insights is similar to GT Metrix. It doesn’t provide a waterfall, but shows you both mobile and desktop page speeds with really helpful insights and recommendations.
Free Analytics & Reporting Tools
Google Analytics is probably the most powerful free tool on the internet. All you have to do is add an Analytics code snippet to your website and gain access to a ton of invaluable insight on your site.
Google Data Studio is another useful free tool from Google. Data Studio allows you to integrate a number of different data sources into one report.
UTM Tracking Code Builder allows you to add tags to your url so you can accurately track in Google Analytics where your traffic is coming from.

Free SEO & SEM Tools
Yoast is a free SEO plugin that does a lot for your website out-of-the-box. It sets up general canonicals, open graph tags, and allows you to bulk edit title and meta tags from the front-end. In addition, Yoast offers on-page optimization insights.Â
MozBar is a free toolbar add-on from Moz that shows you metrics right in your toolbar. MozBar shows their famous Domain Authority and Page Authority, as well as a handful of other search metrics and insights.
Google Search Console remains one of the most powerful free SEO tools on the web. Sure, there are some awesome keyword tracking tools out there, but there’s nothing like seeing query and click data straight from the source.
Google Trends is an online search tool that allows the user to see how often specific keywords, subjects, and phrases have been queried over a specific period of time. Great tool to pinpoint seasonal trends.
SpyFu is a competitive research tool that allows you to spy on your SEM competition by seeing what keywords they rank for and bid on. SpyFu reveals estimated traffic metrics as well. Their free version is limited, but still reveals a good bit of data.
Answer the Public is a tool for discovering what people are searching for using Google’s autocomplete feature; having built up a database from millions of searches it’ll predict what you’re going to ask, based on the information that’s already been entered.
Ubersuggest was once just a keyword research tool providing keyword and content suggestions, but now evaluates domains, shows backlink data, and more.

Canva is at the top of the market when it comes to free design tools. It’s incredibly easy to use and they keep fresh templates rolling in regularly.Â

Convertio is a free file converter tool.
HTML Color Codes lets you drop in an image file, pick a color, and displays the hexadecimal code for you to use.
